CEI has been designing, building, and validating automation systems for clients as a component of projects since the early 1990's. This awareness of the validation requirements, and the evolution of the validation industry has positioned CEI as an extremely valuable member of a project team. The early awareness of validation requirements, documentation, and testing is built into CEI's internal SOP's.

The control system validation protocols developed and executed by CEI typically include:

• Hardware Installation Qualification (HIQ) 
          Verifies all control system hardware is installed and functioning 
          in accordance to design and specifications
• Software Installation Qualification (SIQ) 
          Verifies all software files are installed with the proper revision dates.
• Operational Qualification (OQ) 
          Verifies compete installed system is operating and functional per design,
          specification, and performance criteria.
