Scope:
Control Engineering, Inc. provided control system engineering support for multiple large-scale oil and gas process facilities.
Our role focused on control documentation, operator interface development, and instrumentation coordination. PLC logic development was not part of our scope; instead, CEI supported the definition and validation of the control architecture prior to implementation.

Work included:

• Development of detailed Logic Description documents
• Creation of functional control narratives
• Logic diagram development
• HMI screen design and operator interface programming
• Monitoring and management system (MMS) development
• Junction box (JB) drawing review
• Instrumentation signal validation and I/O mapping review
• Coordination between controls, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines

System:
The facilities involved complex process instrumentation and distributed control systems requiring structured documentation and clear operational definitions prior to commissioning.

CEI's engineering support ensured:

• Accurate representation of process control philosophy
• Proper mapping of field instrumentation signals
